Taking the first step
I’m so glad that you are here. If you are visiting here there is a good chance that you may contemplate seeking support to begin to heal your relationship with food. I’d like to invite you to have a further look around and to consider whether nutrition counseling may be supportive for you. I am a compassionate Dietitian who will support you along the way and who will work in tandem with other members of your treatment team to provide you with the best care possible.
How Nora can Help
I am honored to serve as a supportive guide for individuals on the journey towards a peaceful relationship to food. I believe that individuals already have the wisdom and strength needed to move towards a relationship with food that feels more easeful. My role is to compassionately provide as safe of space as possible for you to begin to explore a different way to think and feel about food.
Support & Growth
I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) ® approach and weave principles of intuitive eating into sessions on an individualized basis. I provide nutrition counseling for those who are healing from chronic dieting, disordered eating, and eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other specified feeding and eating disorders). A formal diagnosis is not required in order for you to receive support. Click below to learn more!
Benefits of Working with a Registered Dietitian
If you answer yes to one or more of the questions below, a Registered Dietitian may be a supportive addition to your care team.
Have your loved ones expressed concerns about your eating?
Do you feel as though you need to restrict your food intake in order to prevent your body from changing?
Do you weigh yourself frequently and gauge how much you allow yourself to eat based upon the number on the scale?
Do you view foods as being either ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and feel as though you are unable to eat certain foods without feeling guilty?
Are you feeling as though thoughts about food and body consume the majority of your day?
Are you struggling to recognize and respond to hunger and fullness cues?
Do you count calories, have rigid rules about food, or adhere to restrictive diets and feel unsure about how to eat without following some type of plan?
Are you unsure of what a ‘normal’ meal looks like because you have been restricting your food intake for a long time?
Do you have food rules or rituals?
Are there foods that feel safe or unsafe to you?
Do you experience fluctuations in your food intake (restricting followed by binge eating?)
Do you obsessively worry about whether or not the ingredients in your food are ‘clean’?
